Driving AcadamyPhase 2
Phase 2 which is a 2 hour, and a half day programme. This is for drivers who like to know and learn how to drive a racing car, but at the same time not seriously interested in Racing. This is more of a leisure and race experience activity. The cost for the 2 Hour programme is Rs. 3000 and for half-day programme is Rs. 7500/-. This course will also take the drivers through the paces in a Saloon Car and then in Single seater Formula Maruti Car.
Phase 3
Phase-3 had been introduced from 1st October 2001 and this course has nothing to do with racing. Phase 3 is for Safety & Defensive driving for normal drivers. The course will have theory and practical classes at the race track and the drivers will be taught the finer and safer points of driving and the Academy will strive to ensure to make its students a better and safer driver. The course programme is for one day and the cost is Rs. 3000/- per day for people who use their own cars and Rs. 4000 per day for people who use the School cars. A separate course will also be conducted for Chauffeur and professional drivers and the course material will be available in English, Tamil and Hindi. The cost of this course will be Rs. 3000 per day.

Phase 4
The Academy also has plans to introduce a Corporate Entertainment Programme which is basically block bookings done by Corporates for their executives or clients or suppliers. The programme will be between a half-day programme, one or 2 day programme. This will be structured with the requirements of the customer and based on the number of people participating in the programme. Lunch, dinner and beverages will also be arranged as per their requirements. The cars that will be used are:
  1. The existing cars available with the Academy.
  2. The Academy is in the process of approaching various car manufacturers to give the Academy certain number of cars to use as this acts as a marketing and promotion area for the car manufacturers as is the normal practice in most recognised corporate programmes conducted abroad. Basically the programme will be in such a way that the participants will be put thru a series of learning laps how to drive safely and correctly on various factors. Each participant will be accompanied by a qualified instructor. The Instructor will then take the participants around the track at high speeds and exhibit to them the levels of speeds that can be achieved in the car along with all cornering and braking techniques. The participant will again be made to drive and allowed to go faster than what they would normally be able to. After that a mock-up race of 5 laps will be Driving Acadamyconducted with the Instructors driving with the participants as the co-passenger which will give them a live action view and feel of how it is to race. Once this is done the participants will then be allowed to drive on their own in each of the cars and another mock-up race with controlled speeds to ensure safety. After this they will then be allowed to have a go in the 2-seater racing cars and single-seater racing cars and their lap times will be recorded and given to them. To end the programme a Slalom, mini Gymkhana and parking competition will be held for the participants and the winners will get their winner’s Certificates. At the end of the programme entertainment as per the requirement of the Customer will be provided.

Phase 5
Racing Division..
Driving Acadamy The Academy has presently built 12 new Formula Maruti cars and running a team, which will be participating in the National Formula Championship with an expected grid of 25 cars. All 12 cars have been more or less confirmed by various drivers from various parts of the Country.

Presently we are using 3 race-prepared Saloon Cars, 2 two-seater racing cars and 2 single-seater Formula Maruti Racing Cars. The Academy plans to increase the number of Saloon Cars and Single-seater racing cars to handle the increasing traffic. Thru the course of the year, the Academy also plans to import 2 Formula Ford Racing Cars from UK and 1 Formula Asia 2000 Car to train the drivers in the cars that they will be racing when they move on to International motorsport. These cars will also be used for the leisure racing programme and the corporate entertainment programme as they do provide a lot of thrill to people who have never got to race but would like to have an experience.
