The Academy has presently built 12 new Formula Maruti cars and running a
team, which will be participating in the National Formula Championship with
an expected grid of 25 cars. All 12 cars have been more or less confirmed by
various drivers from various parts of the Country.
Presently we are using 3 race-prepared Saloon Cars, 2 two-seater racing
cars and 2 single-seater Formula Maruti Racing Cars. The Academy plans to
increase the number of Saloon Cars and Single-seater racing cars to handle
the increasing traffic. Thru the course of the year, the Academy also plans
to import 2 Formula Ford Racing Cars from UK and 1 Formula Asia 2000 Car to
train the drivers in the cars that they will be racing when they move on to
International motorsport. These cars will also be used for the leisure
racing programme and the corporate entertainment programme as they do
provide a lot of thrill to people who have never got to race but would like
to have an experience.
