Chennai, 30 April 2007: JK Tyre Prodigy and India's hottest racing star, Armaan Ebrahim has now set his aims high at the Renault World Series 2007. After a one-year stint in the UK in 2006 and preliminary testing in the Renault V6 car in China and Malaysia, Armaan now gears up to participate in Formula Renault V6 Asia. Armaan will be driving for Team TARA-DTM, which is a team, based in Zuhai China in partnership with the TARA group in Malaysia along with his long-standing mentor JK Tyre.

Speaking on the occasion, Armaan said "The season ahead looks to be a very challenging and exciting one. There are some very good drivers with a lot of experience in the championship and it will be a really good platform for me to do well. My goal is to finish in the top 3 in the championship and then move up the ladder next year".

The Formula Renault V6 Asia Championship will be the headline event of the Asian Festival of Speed and has really come alive after its introduction in 2006. The grid has now gone up from 10 cars to 16 cars on the grid and there are some big names for this year's championship. The Formula Renault V6 Asia Championship has 7 rounds and each round has one sprint race and one feature race. The races will be run in Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China and the Middle East. Formula V6 Asia is the most technologically advanced car in its category and has one objective: to train drivers, engineers, mechanics and team managers on their way up to Formula 1.

Team TARA-DTM has done the pre season testing with Armaan topping the testing time sheets in Malaysia. Fabien Fior of France is the Team Director and Patrick Robert's from the UK is the team's engineer. Fabien Fior has a long history and is a very well known name in France and world motorsport. Having been an engineer to Akbar Ebrahim and JK Tyre prodigies- Narain Karthikeyan and Karun Chandhok, Pady has been involved with Armaan from 2005 in the Formula BMW and A1 GP Championships.

Armaan who is currently in Zuhai was very satisfied with his first exploratory test with the team in the V6 Renault. Speaking on the same Renault series Armaan said. The 1st round is on the Sepang North circuit, which is a very short circuit as compared to the main Sepang circuit. Thus the times are going to be very close and the race will be really tough as there are only 4 technical corners in the circuit. It is important to qualify well to have a chance of finishing in the top 3. I am looking forward to the weekend and am also very happy with my team.
