Tyre's association with Rallying started with the Himalayan Rally,
which it supported during the 1980's. The JK Tyre Rally Team was formed
in 1992,and as they say, there was no driving back… |
The JK Tyre
Rally Team won the National Rally Championships in 1992 & 1993 and
then, under the able leadership of team manager - Mr. Sanjay Sharma, drove
on to win the National Rally Championship titles consecutively from 1994 to
1997. Hari Singh, driving for Team JK Tyre, went on to become five-times
consecutive National Rally Champion and then the first Indian ever to win
the Asia Zone Rally Championship in the year 2000.
The other rallying stars driving for Team JK Tyre include
Karamjit Singh (Asia Rally Champion 1997 &
2000, who drives for Team JK Tyre for the Asia Zone Rally Championship),
Gaurav Gill & Manik Raikhy.
