The new low aspect ratio tyre adds stability to the trucks

Taking the association to the next levelJK Tyre is proud to once again partner with the country’s first and only Truck Racing championship, the Tata T1 Prima Truck Racing championship. JK Tyre JETRACING, the first-ever truck racing tyre in India, will take on the world renowned Buddh International Circuit for the third consecutive year. Experts and international truck drivers swore by the “reliable” and “grippy” tyres from JK Tyre. The ultimate race of the giants will take place on 20thof March at Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida.This year the Championship will witness Indian truck drivers in a separate race.These Indian truck drivers were selected from a pool of truck drivers who are employed with Tata Motors key customers all over the country.

Every year the PRIMA race trucks get faster and this year they can touch speeds as high as 160 km/h. JK Tyre, being an expert in tyre research and quick product delivery,took upon itself to develop higher speed tyres. The JETRACING tyre usesthe new design technique of ‘Tapered tread profile’ completed with ‘HE wire’ and ‘special wire wrap’. With JETRACING, JK Tyre has reinforced its Truck Radial Technology and Motorsport leadership in India. The tyre is an example of JK Tyre’s superior research and product development capabilities.
The tyres used in first two seasons were 315/80R22.5 size, this season the tyre size is 315/70R22.5 which is approved by the European and British truck racing.Lower aspect ratio of the tyre 70 series in comparison to 80 series is based on the requirement of the vehicle. This helps in keeping the centre of gravity of the vehicle lower thereby better stability during cornering
The tyre is designed with special low heat and high traction compound to meet the most gruelling braking conditions of a racing circuit.Overall the tyres have been designed to take speeds more than 160 km/h with extra reinforced steel belts and dual layer tread compound.
In the third season of the partnership between JK Tyre and T1 Prima Truck Racing Championship, the race will be fiercer and JK Tyre JETRACINGwill give the necessary confidence to the race drivers to reach higher speeds.
